Canticum has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Saint Mary's Anglican Church, Kangaroo Point, where it is Ensemble in Residence. Canticum rehearses at St Mary's, and performs there regularly. Emily Cox directs the St Mary's Choir.
As of 2008, the hybrid arts ensemble Collusion joined Canticum as another Ensemble in Residence at St Mary’s Kangaroo Point.

ANCA – Australian National Choral Association, of which Canticum is a member.
The International Federation for Choral Music and the Japan Choral Association (JCA) were organisers of the 7th World Symposium on Choral Music.

Kampin Laulu is a Finnish choir that toured Australia in the second half of 2003. While in Brisbane, members of Canticum billeted members of Kampin Laulu.
